Answer:
The muscles responsible for the given phenomenon are the ciliary muscles. These are muscles present in the eye that tightens or relaxes the fibres( or zonules) in order to change the shape of the lens for accommodation.
When the ciliary muscles contracts, the lens of the eyes are accommodated so as to facilitate close vision whereas in case of relaxation of the ciliary muscles, the lens is accommodated for a distant vision.

Alright,
So humans have binocular stereoscopic vision.
Our eyes have three concentric layers.
the second layer is called the uvea collectively and is anteriorly developed into muscles called iris.
Iris then has a deficiency called pupil through which light enters eye.
If u step onto the brigh street extreme intensity of light enters your eyes.
Thus to minimise it,the iris contracts and pupil shrinks.
Iris is the answer.
above answer is wrong.ciliary muscles do not control the specified phenomena,it is responsible for accomodation which is totally different.
