Suqare shaped tiles of side 40cm are to be fix in a hall of dimensions 2.4 dam by 16m find the number of tiles required

Given :-

  • Side of square tiles 40cm

  • Dimension of hall =2.4dam and 16cm

Conver all the dimensions of room in cm

  • 1dam=1000cm
  • 2.4×1000=2400cm

And 16m to cm

  • 1m=100cm
  • 16m×100= 1600cm

  • So The dimensions of hall is 2400cm and 1600cm

  • Now first find the area of hall

  • Area of rectangle=Length ×Breadth

\tt Area \:of\:hall =2400cm\times 1600cm\\ \\ \tt\rightarrow Area\:of\:hall =3840000cm{}^{2}

  • Now find the area of square tiles

  • Area of square =side×side

\tt Area\:of\:tiles=40cm\times 40cm\\ \\ \tt\rightarrow Area\:if\:tiles=1600cm{}^{2}

  • The number of tiles required :-

FIND THE AREA OF SQUARE TILES

 =  > area \: of \: square = side \times side
