'Surat Port' is situated on Western Coast of India

Explanation:

Surat is a city in the Indian state of Gujarat. Formerly a large seaport, it is now the commercial and economic centre of South Gujarat, famous for its diamond and textile industry and as a trade centre for clothing and accessories.

Surat is a valuable trading port of India no doubt, but it is not situated on the coast of the Bay of Bengal. Instead, it is positioned on the coast of the Arabian Sea as Surat is positioned in Gujarat on the west coast of India. It is the eighth-largest city and the ninth-largest metropolitan area in India. It is the administrative capital city of the Surat district.

The town is 284 kilometres south of the state capital Gandhinagar. Two hundred sixty-five kilometres south of Ahmedabad; and 289 kilometres north of Mumbai. The city centre is on the Tapti River near the Arabian Sea.
