pallavi \: deposited \: = rs \: 46825 \\ ci \: = rs \: 5853 \\ amount \: = rs \: 46825 + 5853 = 52678 \\ so \: according \: to \: the \: question \\ amount = p(1 + r \div 100) {}^{n} \\ 52678 = 46825(1 + 8 \div 100) {}^{n} \\ 52678 \div 46825 = (1 + 2 \div 25) {}^{n} \\
52678/46825=(27/25)^n

now solve after it...u will get ur answer...

Given principal = 46825, compound interest = 5853, R = 8%.

We know that CI = A - P

⇒ 5853 = A - 46825

⇒ 5853 + 46825 = A

⇒ 52678 = A.

Now,

We know that A = P(1 + r/100)^n

⇒ 52678 = 46825(1 + 8/100)^n

⇒ 1.12 = (108/100)^n

⇒ 1.12 = (1.08)^n

Apply log on both sides, we get

⇒ log(1.12) = log(1.08)^n

⇒ log(1.12) = n log(1.08)

⇒ n = log(1.12)/log(1.08)

⇒ n = ~1.5.

Therefore, the number of years = 1.5 (or) 1 1/2 years.

Hope it helps!
