Profit 20% of Rs.144000  = 144000 × (20/100) = Rs.28800

suresh profit = (4/9)×28800 = Rs 12800 Ramesh profit = (5/9)×28800 = Rs. 16000

Answer:

Given

Suresh and ramesh together invested 144000 rupees.

Find

what is the profit each of them got

Solution

Invertment = $ 1,44,000 profit 20%

</p><p>∴ profit \:  =  \frac{20}{100}   \times 1,44,000

 =  \frac{20}{100}  \times 1,44,000 = 28800

The profit to be shared in ratio 4:5

let \: the \: profit \: of \: suresh \: be \: 4x \: and \: ramesh \: 5x

4x + 5x = 28800

</p><p>∴ \: 9 \: x = 28800  \\ </p><p>∴ x \:  = \frac{28800}{9}

</p><p>∴ x  = 3200

4 \: x = 4 \times 3200 = 12800 \\ 5 \: x = 5 \times 3200 = 1600

Profit recived by suresh $ 12800

Profit recived by ramesh $ 1600
