Suresh bought 96 eggs for 56.00 out of them
16 were found broken. He sold the remaining
eggs as such a price that he got a gain of 4.00
Find the selling price of an egg.​

96 eggs for ₹56

Since, 16 eggs were broken we subtract

96 - 16 = 80 eggs

Suresh sold 80 eggs on a gain (profit)  of ₹4

so, we add 56 + 4 = 60

∴ Suresh sold 80 eggs for ₹60

To find the value of an ( 1 ) egg we use unitary method

80 eggs = ₹60

1 egg = 60/80

∴ 1 egg = ₹0.75

Answer is ₹0.75
