- What is the value of sin 30⁰
⇒ Value of sin 30⁰ is 1/2
- What is the length of the broken part of the tree
⇒Broken part of the tree is AC, so to find it we have
tan 30⁰= AB/BC
1/√3=15/BC
BC= 15√3m
Now By pythagorus theorum
AC²= BC²+AB²
AC²= (15√3)²+(15)²
AC²= 675+225
AC²=900
AC=√900
AC=30 m
Thus length of the broken part of the tree is 30 m .
- What was the actual height of the tree
⇒ As tree is broken into two parts that is AB and AC, so total length of the tree will be AB+BC= 30+15= 45 m
- At what distance from the foot of the tree, the top touches the ground
⇒ 15√3 m
