Suresh is standing at point a facing east. He walks 30 meters towards his right and takes a left turn to walk 40 meters, then he takes another left turn and walks 50 meters. In which direction is he standing from point a?

Suresh is standing at point A facing east. He walks 30 m towards his right and takes a left turn to walk 40 m and finally he takes another left turn and walks 50 m.

To find : in which direction is he standing from point A.

solution : step 1 : Suresh is standing at a point A facing east and then walks 30 m towards his right and reaches point B as shown in figure.

step 2 : now Suresh takes left turn to walk 40m and reaches point C as shown in figure.

step 3 : finally he takes left turn and walks 50 m and reaches point D as shown in figure.

now you can observe that final position of Suresh is North - East from point A.

Therefore he is standing N - E direction from point A.
