YES, HE WILL SUCCEED. ALUMINIUM FOILS CAN ACT AS CONNECTING WIRES BECAUSE ALUMINIUM IS A GOOD CONDUCTOR OF ELECTRICITY, IT WILL COMPLETE THE CIRCUIT AND THEREFORE, THE BULB WILL GLOW.
