firstly find

volume of bigger cuber by side³ formula

volume of the bigger cube = 24³ = 13824cm³

now divide it by 8 to get the volume of each smaller cube = 13824/8 = 1728cm³

volume of smaller cube = side'³ = 1728

side' = 12cm = side of smaller cube

total surface area of smaller cube

= 6side'² = 6 x 12² = 6 x 144 =864cm

= 864cm²

so the surface area of each small cube

is 864cm²
