if she used 4/9 of her money, she must have 5/9 remaining. Of that 5/9, she then spent 1/3. That is, she now has 2/3 of 5/9 of her original amount.

(of always means *)

so (2/3)*(5/9)*x=1330, x is thus (3/2)*(9/5)*1330

Surveen had at first  = Rs 3591

Step-by-step explanation:

Let say Surveen had at first = 27M   Rs

Surveen used 4/9 of her money to buy four identical cups and three identical Balls  = (4/9) 27M  = 12M  Rs

Money left = 27M - 12M = 15 M  Rs

she used 1/3 of the remaining amount to buy 6 identical hairpins and two identical hair combs = (1/3) 15M  = 5M Rs

Money Left = 15M - 5M = 10M  Rs

10M = 1330

=> M = 133

=> 27 M = 27 * 133

=> 27M = 3591

Surveen had at first  = Rs 3591
