In my locality, the bad practices of garbage disposal is a big environmental issue.

Causes & Effects:

• The hospitals throw surgical leftovers, gloves and expired medicines on the roads, that may have a significant effect on the animals as well as humans in the city.
• The rehdiwalas and street food vendors throw disposal plates, cups, leftover food and smelly useless things on the roads, that give an invitation to parasites, this can start an epidemic.
• People are unaware about good cleanliness habits, they would not use the public dustbins, rather they throw things in streets, this makes them dirty and invites accidents as anyone can slip over that garbage.

My role:

Me and my friends have formed a club, that voluntarily wields the broom every Sunday, and cleans 2 streets every week. Apart from this, we educate people about healthy habits and demonstrate how right garbage disposal would help them in maintaining a good environment.
