The 5 most common diseases in our locality are - Dengue, common cold and cough, flu, malaria, and hand, foot, and mouth disease.
The common causes of these diseases are - Dengue virus transmitted by Aedes aegypti mosquito, rhinoviruses, influenza viruses, Plasmodium parasite transmitted by mosquito bites, and Enterovirus species, respectively.
1. Dengue - Caused by Dengue virus transmitted by Aedes aegypti mosquito. Symptoms include high fever, vomiting, nausea, skin rashes, etc. Intake of fluids along with antibiotics is the remedy.
2. Common cold - caused by rhinoviruses. Symptoms include running nose, cough, sore throat, with a slight fever. The remedy is antiviral medications.
