Surviving a disaster is our first instinct. Natural disasters like flood, landslides are not that uncommon in India. In such situations, the state bodies and other agencies of the "disaster management of India" step in to rescue the people. But beside this, we as people should help the situation too. The society is prepared for the foreseen disasters, in such cases the home guards, civil defence, volunteers of the "nation service scheme" and so on step in to control the situation.
