Susan can type 10 pages in 5 minutes. mary can type 5 pages in 10 minutes. working together, how many pages canthey type in 30 minutes?

10 pages = 5 min

i.e.in 1min he can type 10/5 = 2 pages

Now, in 30 min he can type....2*30 = 60 pages..............(1)

Mary can type

5 pages = 10 min

i.e.in 1 min she can type 5/10 = 1/2 pages

Now,in 30 min she can type 1/2 *30 = 15 pages.............(2)

From eq. (1) and (2)

we can say that when they both will work together , they can type 60 + 15 = 75 pages in 30 min..
