Answer:

The number of balls put into the spherical vessel is 440.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Sushant has a vessel of the form of an inverted cone open at the top of height 11 cm and radius of top as 2.5 cm and is full of water metallic spherical balls each of diameter 0.5 CM are put in the vessel due to which two fifth of water is flows.

To find : How many balls was put in the vessel?

Solution :

Let n be the number of balls

CONE :  H= 11cm R= 2.5cm

SPHERICAL BALLS : d= 0.5 cm⇒ r=0.25 cm

Volume of the no. of balls = 2/5 times the volume of the cone

n\times \frac{4}{3}\pi r^3=\frac{2}{5}\times \frac{1}{3}\pi R^2H

n\times 2 (0.25)^3=\frac{1}{5}\times (2.5)^2(11)

n\times 2(0.015625)=\frac{1}{5}\times (6.25)(11)

0.03125n=13.75

n=\frac{13.75}{0.03125}

n=440

Therefore, The number of balls put into the spherical vessel is 440.
