Sushma is now 15 years older than Vijay but in 3 more years she will be 8 times as old as vijay was 3 years ago. How old are they now?

Let Shusma's present age be x.
Then that of Vijay =x-15
By the problem,
x+3=8(x-15-3)
=>x+3=8x - 144
=>7x=147
=>x=21
hence, Sushma is currently 21 yrs old while Vijay is 21-15= 6 years old
