Given: Susie buys a pencil case for £3.99, a packet of pens for £2.49 and a calculator for £4.99 and she pays for then with £20 note.

To find: Change she gets back

Explanation: Cost for pencil case= £3.99

Cost for pen= £2.49

Cost for calculator= £4.99

We add all these costs to get the total expense.

Total expenses= £3.99+ £2.49+ £4.99

= £11.47

Money she gave= £20

For finding the amount of change that she received we need yo to subtract the expenses from the money she gave.

Change that she gets= £20 -£11.47

= £8.53

Therefore, Susie gets back £8.53.
