India has a very old habit of defecation outside their houses. Despite having sufficient money to build toilets, people, especially in rural areas go outside for excretion. There are still no proper dumping facilities on highways due to which people throw their waste om roads carelessly. There is no proper channelization of funds in rural areas for construction of toilets and improvisation of sanitation facilities. The officials responsible for the construction of toilets in villages scoff at people (especially females) and harrass them which is quite immoral in its sense.Corruption, being rampant in offices, also poses challenges to the mission. People in need don't get enough funds by the government and they have to add their money to build a suitable toilet.Ground reports suggest the non-cooperation of officials in having proper excretion, dumping and sanitation facilities.Need of more toilets on national highways and roadways. The World Bank which had promised a loan of $1.5 billion rupees was due by July 2016.PromisesAimed at improving sanitation facilities for 51.6% households which don't have proper sanitation facilities. The promise was to keep each path, road, office and every particle of air around us.To eradicate open defacation in India. To convert the insanitory toilets into pour flush toilets. To remove the system of manual scavenging. To make people aware of healthy practices. To completely start the scientific processing, recycling and reusing of Municipal Solid Waste.

I mentioned a few challenges which I have noticed with newspapers and personal observations. I welcome anyone who will put into consideration some more challenges and ways to sort them out.

Thanks!
