Answer:

Good Morning Respected Principal, Teachers and My Dear Friends!

As today we all have gathered here on the great occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, taking the opportunity I would like to say a few words on one of the most important topics in India known as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. A campaign launched by the government of India to deal with the problem of cleanliness across the country. This campaign is especially subjected towards educating and acknowledging people about the importance of cleanliness in our surroundings.

This campaign was launched as a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on 2nd October 2014 at Rajghat by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Mahatma Gandhi, the father of India always believed in cleanness in his surroundings and once said that cleanness is more important than independence.

This campaign especially aims at providing people the access to toilets and stops the open defecation system, cleaning rivers like Ganga and Yamuna that are highly polluted, spreading awareness about waste management etc. This campaign is a huge step taken by the Indian Government towards the development of India because cleanliness opens the door for prosperity and success in life and this could be only successful when every citizen of India will pledge to maintain cleanliness in the surroundings as it’s not only the responsibility of the government.

Jai Hind!

HOPE THIS HELPS!
