Swami Vivekananda was a great religious. He was born in Kolkata on 18 January in 1863. He was a brilliant man with in-depth knowledge of Hindu scriptures (Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, Bhagavad Gita, etc.). His parents were Vishwanath Dutta (a lawyer in the Calcutta High Court) and Bhuvaneshwari Devi (a religious housewife).
