Given:

Discount on list price=15%

Discount given for cash payment=5%

Selling price of washing machine=38356.25

Let:

• The list price of washing machine be X

To Find:

• The list price of washing machine

$\sf{\dashrightarrow 38356.25=\dfrac{8075X}{10000}}$

$\sf{\dashrightarrow 38356.25*10000=8075X}$

$\sf{\dashrightarrow 383562500=8075X}$

$\sf{\dashrightarrow X=47500}$

Hence,

Lets Solve from Backward .

→ MP = SP * 100 / (100 - Discount %)

→ MP = [ 38356.25 * 100 / ( 100 - 5) ]

→ MP = (38356.25 * 100) / 95

→ MP = (3835625/95)

→ MP = Rs.40375 .
