let Sweena age =x years

sons age =(x-26)years

Father's age=(x+29) years

x+(x-26)+(x+29)=135

x+x-26+x+29=135

3x+3=135

3x=135-3

3x=132

x=132/3

x=44

Sweena age=44 years

sons age=x-26=44-26=18 years

Father's age=x+29=44+29=73 years

Answer:

The age of Sweena's son = 18 years

The age of Sweena = 44 years

The age of Sweena's father = 73 years

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :

Sweena is 29 years younger than her father.

26 years older than her son .

The sum of the ages of all three is 135 .

Find:

Their ages.

Solution:

Let the age of Sweena's son = x

Sweena's age = x + 26

Sweena's father age = (x+26+29) = x + 55

According to question:

⇒ x + (x+26) + (x+55) = 135

⇒ x + x+26 + x+55 = 135

⇒ 3x + 81 = 135

⇒ 3x = 54

⇒ x = 54 / 3

⇒ x = 18

.°. The age of Sweena's son = 18 years

The age of Sweena = x + 26

⇒ 18 + 26

44 years

The age of Sweena's father = x + 55

⇒ 18 + 55

73 years

Sum of all ages:

18

+ 44

+ 73

135
