Abraham Lincoln's life can be a true source of inspiration for anyone, especially those who just don't seem to make it in life. Abraham Lincoln was no stranger to adversity, in his life; he failed severally in business, lost two elections for senate, lost nominations for congress, was defeated for nomination for speaker and also a nomination for vice-president. His misfortunes started when he was still very young as he lost his mother at a tender age and therefore could not get much of an  education. However, the sweetness that came from all this adversity is that Lincoln, eventually, went on to become the president of the United states.
