sympathetic and parasympathetic system of the ans worked together in the following way. As in, when there is an emergency situation the sympathetic system is in action. For example it increases the heartbeat rate and breathing rate where as it also dilates the pupils and it stops digestion. looking forward be given the condition is under control we come to know that parasympathetic system comes to action and it and it contracts the pupil and the heartbeat and breathing rate come to normal.
