09. What is PET? Write its uses.
Q10. Define natural fibres
Answers
Explanation:
1-they are thermoplastics and thermosetting plastics
2-thermoplastics are the plastics which have no cross linking .Heating also does not produce any cross linking between the chains.they can be processed repeatedly
3-they are the polymers in which chains get highly cross linked on heating.once moulded thermosetting plastics cannot be remoulded
4-resistance to corossion and chemicals, low electrical and thermal conductivity, resistance to shock, good durability
5-it is reduce,reuse,recycle,recover
6-PET-polyethylene terapthalate,PCDT-poly cyclohexylene-demethylene teraphthalate
7-because it is made from repeated processing of wood in factories and industries and by chemical treatment of wood pulp.it is also known as artificial silk
8-natural fibres-the fibres obtained from plants and animals, artificial fibres-the fibres which are made by man by using chemicals
9-polyethylene teraphthalate.it is used to make many plastic items like bottles and boxes which is less corossive
10-the fibres which are obtained from plants and animals naturally
