Synthetic fibres are durable,less expensive,they dry up quickly,readily available and easy to maintain. these properties of synthetic fibres make them more popular than natural fibres.

yes they do but nowadays lined fabrics (combination of natural and synthetic fibres)
are more commonly used and popular as synthetic fibres do not absorb sweat and catches fire easily. but lined fabrics possess both good qualities of natural amd synthetic fibres.

Also, they are cheap and easy to handle some they are used.
