we should ban the use of plastics because plastic is a non-biodegradable substance. it can't be decomposed. it is thus a harmful pollutant causing pollution.

The presence of synthetic plastics/polymers is a great threat to the environment.

The plastics are polymers that can be a homo polymer or heteroplymer. These polymers are made up of number of repeating monomers that are arranged sequentially. These polymers take a number of years to degrade into their monomeric forms.

These non-biodegradable polymers also prevent the seepage of water and make the land agriculturally unsuitable. They also pile up into heaps of waste that becomes more resistant to environmental degradation.
