Answer:

2x + y = 10 eq (I)

3x - y = 5 eq (II)

2x + 3x +y -y = 10 + 5 ( +y -y get cancelled )

5x = 15

x = 15 divided by 5

x = 3

substitute with eq (I)

2x + y = 10

2(3) + y = 10

6 + y = 10

y = 10 - 6

y = 4

ANSWER

x = 3

y = 4
