• Kidneys: Bean-shaped organs, the size of a fist.

1. These help to remove wastes and extra fluid inside the human body.
2. Maintains a healthy balance of salt, water, and minerals (calcium, potassium, sodium, calcium in the blood)
3. It removes acid produced by the cells in the body.

• Ureters: Two tubes that carry the urine to the urinary bladder.

• Urinary bladder: This is a triangular shape bag-like structure. It helps in storing urine that is made by the kidneys.

1. Its wall relaxes and expands to store urine, contract, and flatten to empty the urine through the urethra.

• Urethra: In females, it transports urine out of the body and protects against pathogenic bacteria, preventing urine reflux.

1. In males, the expulsion of urine and sperm, prevention of either urine or the sperm to travel back into the lower urinary tract, protection against bacteria entering the body.
