Women and men have played different roles over the years. The advent of formal education has blurred the lines between what mean and women do. For example, household duties have become cross gender and providing for the families have become cross gender too. Find in the attachments the different roles by both. I hope this helps.

1- Provider 2- Protector 3- Head of the family

The three roles of Women-

1- Cooking & doing household chores, 2- Taking care of the kids & their elders.

But today a lot has changed. More & more women are getting highly educated & earn well. In more elevated societies, they're sometimes earning while the man looks after the kids, keeps house & cooks. There, unlike earlier times, they are considered equal to men. Though, it's still not the universal truth. In India, the upper, middle & lower strata of society have their respective value systems in this regard. In most middle class households, women still have the traditional role.
