Sulphur dioxide is the chemical which can damage the Taj Mahal at Agra.

This is because when sulphur dioxide reacts with water molecules, it forms sulphuric acid.

This sulphuric acid in turn gets precipitated through acid rain.

This precipitate cause serious damages to the historical monuments, human and plant health.
