Take 3 iron nails and clean it with sand paper.
Take 2 nails and dip it in copper sulphate solution. Leave it for 20 min.
What do you observe?

The 2 nails dipped in the solution become reddish brown in colour and the blue colour of copper sulphate solution fades.

Fe + CuSO4 ---> FeSO4 + Cu

It is because iron is more reactive than copper and it dispalces copper from its place.

Displacement reaction has taken place.
