ii) b x c = c x a
= (-3) x 4 = 4 x 5
= (-12) = 20

Hence b x c = c x a is not equal

iii) a x (b x c) = (a x b) x c
= 5 x [(-3) x 4] = [5 x (-3)] x 4
= 5 x (-12) = (-15) x 4
= (-60) = (-60)

hence a x (b x c) = (a x b) x c are equal

iv) a x (b+c) = a x b + a x c
= 5 x [(-3) + 4] = [5 x (-3)] + [5 x 4]
= 5 x 1 = (-15) + 20
= 5 = 5

Hence both are equal

v) a x (b - c) = a x b - a x c
= 5 x [(-3) - 4] = [5 x (-3)] - [5 x 4]
= 5 x (-7) = (-15) - (20)
= (-35) = (-35)

Hence both are equal
