Correct question :

Take a book a place in an a floor with a uniform surface. what happens here? Explain.

Solution :

If a book is resting on a surface, the surface exerts an upward force on the book in order to support the weight of the book. Since weight and normal force are equal and acting in opposite direction, the net force acting on the book is zero and the book is in equilibrium.Gravitational force (weight) acts downwards and normal force acts upwards. These two forces are equal and opposite. So, the net force is zero and book is at rest.

Extra :

If we push a book on the table, it stops after some time. Why?

When we push a book on the table, a force is applied on it in opposite direction of the motion called force of friction. This force opposes themovement and the book stops.
