”If we bite a apple and chew it in our mouth for some time, will it taste sweet? Why?”
You mean you haven’t tested it out yet?
Saliva contains an enzyme called Salivary amylase, which relatively weak but is the beginning of carbohydrate digestion. It breaks down starch in apple into simpler sugars which give a sweet taste, since you are chewing for a longer while, more time and more mixing, for enzymatic action and hence you perceive it as sweet.
