Given : a quadrilateral ABCD (A)(-5,-4)(B)(-5,2) (C)(-3,3) (D) (-3,4)

To find  :  Mirror image with respect to y axis

Solution:

in Mirror image wrt y axis

x Coordinate changes sign while y remains same

A (-5 , - 4)    hence A'  = ( 5 , - 4)

B (- 5 , 2)  hence B'  = (5 , 2)

C (-3 , 3)  hence  C' = (3 , 3)

D (-3 , 4)  hence  D' (3 , 4)

Mirror image with respect to y axis

A'  = ( 5 , - 4)

B'  = (5 , 2)

C' = (3 , 3)

D' (3 , 4)
