3a + 5b + 2a + 9b - 4c - ( 6a + 14b - 2c )

3a + 5b + 2a + 9b - 4c - 6a - 14b + 2c

3a + 2a - 6a + 5b + 9b - 14b - 4c + 2c

-a + 0b - 2c

- ( a + 2c )

Hope you could understand.. and helps you out...

Question:

Take away 6a + 14b - 2c from the sum of 3a + 5b and 2a + 9b - 4c

Answer:

\rm - (a + 2c)

Solution:

[ First let us find the sum of ( 3a + 5b ) and ( 2a + 9b - 4c) ]

⟹⠀\rm (3a + 5b) + (2a + 9b - 4c)

⟹⠀\rm \: 3a + 5b + 2a + 9b - 4c

⟹⠀\rm \: (3a + 2a) + 9b + 5b - 4c

⟹⠀\rm \: 5a + 14b - 4c

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The sum of ( 3a + 5 ) and ( 2a + 9b - 4c ) is ( 5a + 14b - 4c )

Now we will subtract ( 6a + 14b - 2c ) from ( 5a + 14b - 4c )

⟹⠀\rm \: (5a + 14b - 4c ) - (6a + 14b - 2c)

⟹⠀\rm \: 5a + 14b - 4c - 6a - 14b + 2c

⟹⠀\rm \: (5a - 6a) + (14b - 14b) + (2c - 4c)

⟹⠀\rm - a - 0b - 2c

⟹⠀\rm - a - 2c

⟹⠀\rm - (a + 2c)

- (a + 2c) is the answer.
