When we blow into limewater for sometime through straw, it turns milky.
The limewater when blown into for sometime will change its colour into milky white because of the CO2. As we know that we take in oxygen and release carbon dioxide during the process of respiration, which when exhaled in limewater, reacts with it.
This reaction of carbon dioxide released by us with the limewater is the reason behind the change that we will observe.
Lime water is also known as calcium hydroxide, which reacts with carbon dioxide to form calcium carbonate turning its colour into white.
