Take one bowl and one plate pour equal amount of water in them. Keep one plate in the sun and the other in the shade. Observe after a few hour. Does the quantity of water remain same in both the plates? Where does the water disappear? What is the source of heat for evaporation?

No the water does not remain the same in the both the plates.

Water in the plate which was kept in sun gets evaporated in the atmosphere . The source of heat for evaporation is sun.

If you place the plate filled with water in the sun then small amount of water will be evaporated due to sun’s heat.

On the other part, the amount of water place in the shade will be same as earlier.

The source of heat for evaporation is sun’s heat and it can vaporize some water from the plate that is placed under the sun’s heat.

So water does not remain same in the both plates.
