  • They consist of Tap roots. The inflorescence is racemose type. Flowers are bisexual and zygomorphic.
  • They consist of five petals and five sepals. They are leguminous plants.  
  • Family solanacae consists of herbivorous plants that have solitary inflorescence, actinomorphic flowers which are bisexual.
  • The number of sepals is five in number.
  • The sepals are joined to each other. The flowers grow well in shades.
