Take one or two drops of butter milk on a slide
and spread it. Heat the slide slightly on a lamp
( 3 - 4 seconds). Add a few drops of crystal
violet and leave it for 30 to 60 seconds. Then
wash the slide gently with water. Observe the
slide under the compound microscope.

you can’t see microbes directly through naked eyes. To observe bacteria from curd you have to take little amount of sample from it, dilute that sample with saline water.
Take loop full suspension from sample and spread it on Greece free slide and observe it under microscope with oil immersion lens. But bacteria are transparent you can not identified easily so have to colour them by using stain ..
In general curd contains Lactobaccilus bacteria which rod shaped.
