Answer:

-1 and -7/2

Step-by-step explanation:

Considering the quadratic formula:

\frac{(-b+\sqrt{b^{2} -4ac })}{2a} is one root and the other root is \frac{(-b-\sqrt{b^{2} -4ac })}{2a}

here a = 2    b = 9    c = 7

\frac{(-9+\sqrt{9^{2} -4*2*7 })}{2*2}  =  \frac{-9+5}{4}  =  -1

\frac{(-9-\sqrt{9^{2} -4*7*2 })}{2*2}  =  \frac{-9-5}{4}  =  -7/2

sot the roots are -1 and -7/2

2x²+9x+7

2x²+7x+2x+7

x(2x+7)+1(2x+7)

(x+1) (2x+7)

After finding the factors, we can also find the value of x:-

(x+1)=0 / (2x+7)=0

→x=-1 / 2x=-7

→ x=-1 / x=-7/2

So, x=-1, -7/2
