A germinating seed develops into a young seedling that later grows into a sapling. The radicle refers to the embryonic root that develops into the baby roots, it develops downwards. The plumule also called epicotyl, develops the shoot with the leaves and stems. A picture has been attached that demonstrates radicle and plumule, along with other parts of the germinating seed.
