b) The area of contact of the brick with powdered lime when it is placed vertically is 0.02 meter square. calculate the pressure exerted by the brick of weight 30 N on the lime powder. ​

a) In arrangement (a) vertical the brick will produce most pressure as because of less area.

b) pressure = force/area

= 30/0.02

= 30/2/100

= 30•100/2

= 1500 pascal
