The egg falling on the concrete floor will break.

  • The given procedure involves the concept of momentum and impulsive force.
  • In the event of a concrete surface, the egg's momentum changes more quickly, whereas in the case of a cushioned pillow, the egg's momentum changes over a longer period of time.
  • Since a lesser force operates over a longer length of time and a larger force acts quickly. The egg cracks because the contact period is so little and the force is so great.
  • This concept is known as impulsive force.
  • The egg does not break on a cushioned pillow as a result.
  • The given questions can be answered as -

1) The one falling on a concrete floor is easily broken

2) When the egg lands on a pillow that is cushioned, less force was applied.

3) The phenomenon involved is Newton's third law or the impulsive force.
