Record your observations and answer the following questions:

Explanation:

We have two glasses labelled as G1 and G2 filled with water. We added a drop of ink in G1 and a drop of honey in G2.

1.As soon as blue ink was added along the sides of glass1, it can be seen that ink flowed rapidly downwards along the side of the glass.

Ink started to get mixed with water.

2. In glass 2 when a drop of honey was added, honey flowed very slowly ad it took very long time to reach water surface.

3. After 2 hours:

In glass 1, the ink has completely mixed with water. The water of first glass has completely turned blue.

In glass 2, drop of honey did not mixed with water. It can be seen settled t the bottom of the glass.

4. Conclusion

From the above activity it can be said that honey being thicker than ink took a long time to mix while ink being thin in consistency, mixed very easily.

Hence, Honey is more viscous than ink.
