When we nail two iron nails ,one with pointed end and other with blunt end into wall.We observe that nail with blunt end can't penetrate into wall easily but nail with pointed end can easily penetrate into wall.
The reason for the above observation is -
the pointed end of nail has less contact surface so it needs more pressure.Hence,due to pressure it penetrate into wall easily.On the other hand,blunt end of nail has more contact surface so it needs less pressure.That's why it can't penetrate into wall easily.
