Take water in a glass jar and cover it with a lid. Place jar in sunlight. After 30 min observe the inside of the jar and write about you see.

It will be observed that the lid used to cover the jar has turned foggy due to deposition of some gaseous substance in it and the water level in the jar has reduced substantially.
The water, on being exposed to sunlight for a considerable amount of time, has evaporated to form water vapour which gets collected on the lid. This water vapour turns back into water when removed from sunlight. The evaporation causes water level to decline. It is also seen that the glass jar may turn a bit hotter.
