The air that we exhaled into the aqueous solution of litmus was Carbon dioxide. Since Carbon Dioxide is an acidic gas,the colour of the solution changes to red showing presence of acid.

When we are blowing air in the test tube, we are blowing CO2 (Carbondioxide), the carbondioxide reacts with the water (H2O) in the test tube and forms Carbonic Acid (H2CO3), which is acidic in nature and hence the change in colour from blue to red.
